Maggie learned a new word yesterday, and started signing a phrase we have been working on for about 2 months. We were on our way home from Target, and I gave her a mini Oreo to try. Well, she loved it ( I think she gets it from Grandma), and so I told her "Cookie". It only took her two times to say it right. Wouldn't ya know, food is her motivator. Well, to keep getting cookies she signed "Thank You" afterwards. Positive praise certainly works! It seems like her verbal skills are improving the more sweets she gets. At Thanksgiving Ryan was eating pumpkin roll and Maggie kept signing "Please". He told her no, and said "You don't want any". She looked straight at him and said "Yes I do". Guess mommy's baking is that good! She cracks me up almost everyday doing neat stuff like that. I guess it never really gets old though, and for that I am so thankful.
